Was on the bus back from Bugis today, when I realized I forgot to top up my EZ link card... Just my luck to meet a loyal-to-service bus driver (either that or I look like a 25 year old marketing executive). Anywayz... I put in 70 cents in that tinker box, and that driver screwed up his face and said that the minimum was 80 cents... So I told him that I was a student in Singapore Poly... His reply? "Poly student not student. 80 cents least". Apart from his really fantastic grammer, he said it with a smug look on his bald headed face...
HOWEVER, my JC friend can get in for 45 cents! Heard me! 45 cents!! stupid bus drivers... stupid transport system...
'NewaYz... back to today...
I was in Bugis today after church today because it was my frenz's birthday... We went to The Coffee Connoisseur to celebrate her birthday... Her treat! haha.... I ordered a milkshake like this.... *slurp* YuM!
Slurp! YuMmy DriNk!
I'm going to write a song about the Tsunami victims in tribute of the 9 Singaporeans and 144,000 others who died in the world's worst natural disaster in recorded history... Also because today is Singapore's day of mourning for the those affected by the Tsunami
To Reach Out and Heal Those Broken Hearts
Verse 1:
Hear the cries
Hear the cries
From their soulful hearts
A cry of pain
A cry in vain
Verse 2:
So hard they tried
To build a home
It took one tide
To destroy and leave them alone
Verse 3:
Wrenched from their families
Hidden from their love
Wont you reach out
And heal those broken hearts?
Chorus:
A new hope
A new future
A goal for a time
For which they can be sure
A time when where they will never
Be afraid again
Wont you reach out
And heal those broken hearts
Last time : Wont you reach out,
and heal those broken hearts
Bridge:
One step by one step
We'll help them build a place
A place that they can call home

Let us all spend a quite moment to contemplate on how lucky and blessed we are that we were not affected by the tsunami...
Life is like a lighted candle,
Swaying in the wind...
A gentle blow, and it extinguishes...
But for every candle lit, it only takes a spark..
The pass on that flame...
Take care everyone, and God Bless
Signing off,

Today's Interesting Fact : Did you know that a raisin dropped in a glass of fresh champagne will bounce up and down continuously from the bottom of the glass to the top.
(haha... will it work with vodka and beer?)

How do you define "fresh champagne" ?
Anyway, I thought the song lyrics are quite well written. Hope you have a nice tune to go with it.
